El otoño que tengo es el que he perdido

  • DescriptionIker Andrés said, referring to this exhibition of
    Mireya Martín Larumbe, that:

“She draws lines that link items on paper that may seem far apart, but which exist under the unifying layer of snow that is the blank sheet of paper and which is, when all’s said and done, the mask behind which each of us hide ourselves. Mireya’s lines get tangled up on the sheet of paper or the screen and are transformed into plants, animals, anatomical items… a great many symbolic references that are so open that each viewer provides them with a meaning of their own, by recognising in each piece a part of themselves that up to now remained masked. It is for this reason that it is difficult to remain indifferent when faced with one of Mireya’s pieces. We are amazed by the beauty of their lines and colours, by their dimensions, ranging from the tiny to the colossal, and by the subtlety in their transformations. However what we are fascinated by is how we recognise ourselves when we look at them, by the way that these drawings and animated pieces tend towards introspection.”

And I had the honor to make the covers designing of the catalog of their exhibition.
